When your business information changes—such as your address, registered agent, or contact details—you'll need to update your Basic Business License with the District of Columbia. There are two main ways to make these updates, depending on your preference for handling the process.
Your Update Options
1. Update Directly Through DLCP
You can update your license information by working directly with the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP).
In-Person Visit:

- What to bring: Your current license and documentation supporting the changes
- Processing time: Usually same day

Important: Don't Forget Your RAD Registration
