The DC Office of Tax and Revenue mails this notice only to the primary filer's home or mailing address you listed on your application — not to RentJiffy. We never receive a copy. So if you're waiting on it, here's exactly what to do next.
Step 1: Check the fastest way first.
If you have a MyTax.DC.gov account, your notice may already be there — usually within 3 business days.
Log in. Once you're in, look for the nav bar across the top: Favorites | Summary | Action Center | Settings | More... — click More...
You'll land on a page with several boxes. Find the Messages & Letters box — it's in the top center of the page. Click View Letters (not View Messages).
You'll see a Letters page with three tabs: Inbox | Archived | Search. Check your Inbox first. If your notice isn't there, click Search to find older letters.

Step 2: Give the mail time to arrive.
OTR's standard delivery takes up to 7 business days from when you received the "Tax Registration Has Been Filed" email from us. Before you do anything else, make sure that window has passed.
While you're waiting, it's worth checking:
- Mail at the owner's address (not the registered agent address)
- With other people in the household
- With your building's mailroom or front desk
- Whether your mail is being held at the post office
Step 3: Still nothing after 7 business days? Call OTR.

Ask them to email or mail you a copy of your Notice of Business Tax Registration. Have your business information and registration details ready. Many customers have gotten the notice emailed to them same day — though that's not guaranteed.
Only you (or an authorized representative) can request this. OTR won't release it to RentJiffy or any third party.
Provided a wrong address? Fix it now.
If you listed an incorrect address during registration — or you've since moved — call OTR at 202-727-4829 right away. Ask them to resend the notice to your correct address and update your records for future correspondence.
